Community separators before supervisors in November
The Sonoma County Board of Supervisors are expected to take look at recommendations for renewing the 20-year-old community separator ordinance that has been part of the formula for keeping city sprawl to a minimum in the county. The enabling ordinance that has prevented denser zoning in land surrounding seven of the county’s eight cities will sunset next year.
The board review has been postponed several times this summer due to lack of development resources at the Permit Resource and Management Department (PRMD), which is charged with the analysis.
The Board should take up the PRMD staff report on the issue during the morning session of its regular weekly meeting beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 10. The Board meets in room 102A, 575 Administration Dr., Santa Rosa.
